Happy Birthday Chris

Here are a few pictures of him when we were in Branson.

Happy Birthday Chris!

I'd like to say that I got you a new car for your birthday but it's not April Fools Day. Sorry. I hope you have a good day!

Play Group and Eaglets

Tuesday Jackson went to playgroup and Jarrett went to Eaglets. It is through Parents As Teachers at Vermillion Primary in Maize. I think the point of playgroup is to get the kids use to going to the school and get ready for Eaglets. Parents and kids play until it is story time. Jackson really liked going up and down the stairs to the slide.Jackson also liked the toys. Here he is showing Dad that when you put the ball in the top, it goes down the ramps and out the back. And no play group is complete without a snack. Jarrett loved playing with the sand table. It is just what you would think it would be.
A table with sand and toys. Chris is so excited he is texting someone. They also read books and had a snack. It is like a mini preschool where parents and children participate together. Wanda (the Early Childhood Education teacher that Jarrett has been meeting with weekly) says that the more socialization he has, the better off he will be. He was pretty good through most of it. It lasts just over an hour.

Update on Jarrett

It has been decided that Jarrett will attend preschool 4 mornings a week in Maize. He will spend the rest of the time at the daycare. Please pray for him and his teachers. Pray that he will behave on the bus and that he will accept his new surroundings and that his behavior will be better. We hope that he will grow out of this and be the sweet little boy that I know he is.

Prayer request

What can I say about Jarrett. He is a loving, caring, focused, independent, curious, energetic, obsessive, scared, positive, sensitive, helpful, dependent, playful, outgoing, angelic, funny, active, sweet, adorable, excited, memorable, inquisitive, innocent, honest, creative, silly and adorable kid. He has had behavioral issues and has been evaluated by Heartspring and the Maize School District. He has been receiving services for a few months now. He is being visited once a week for an hour but they feel like he needs more. They want him to come to the preschool at Vermillion Primary several days a week so they can help him more. We will be attending a meeting tomorrow afternoon to discuss this with teachers and administrators at the school. Please pray that we do the right thing for Jarrett. Please pray that his needs will be met and for the teachers to have patience and grace while dealing with him.

I would like to thank Robyn and Kay for their advice and guidance through this. It is a whole new world and it is good to have guides. Thanks.

Football Banquet

The Football Banquet was last Thursday at the High School. Chris was thrilled to be there and even more thrilled that I was taking pictures. Wait until next year. I am going to hire a photographer and a videographer. Here he is getting his trophy and certificate.
Here he is hiding. Note his friend Austin laughing. Probably because I was up there taking pictures and his mom isn't.How embarrassing. Are all kids like this? I just want to take a few pictures. I want to remember these moments for ever. My baby, my chubby little buddha baby is almost 17 years old. It doesn't seem that long ago that he was smuggling sharpies and screw drivers into his backpack to take to preschool. "Sharpie pen?"

How To Change A Diaper - Daddy Style

Step 1 - Locate your tool belt.
Step 2 - Put on eye protection, breathing protection, gloves(MIA), locate all necessary equipment (baby, diaper, wipes, tongs, etc.) and change diaper.
Step 3 - Relax.FYI - Matt says the gear doesn't work. He can still smell it and his eyes were burning.

Mommy's little helper

You're not going to believe this! Tony Gonzalez was helping me with dishes today! Ok, maybe it wasn't Tony. Doesn't he look helpful? I think he was just trying to get his van washed (the toy at his feet). He was quite attached to his mouthpiece today. Is that because of the jersey?

Too much excitement

Jackson fell asleep a little early last night. The election was just too much for him. He fell asleep holding Mater. He loves to snuggle. If you give him a pillow or a blanket he will put it on the floor and lay on it. Daddy was very proud that his son fell asleep with a tow truck. As long as he falls asleep, I don't care what he is snuggling.

Jackson's Allergy Test Results

We finally got Jackson's allergy test results, well most of them anyway. Wheat and Peanut testing were not done because "Specimen deterioration or loss has occurred such that testing is no longer possible." That figures. At least I know he isn't allergic to shell fish like I am. Maybe some day we will find out why Jarrett and Jackson are always congested.
