Blizzard Watch 2009 Update

Last night the snow started. This was taken about 7:45 PM Friday. You can't see it but there were BIG snowflakes. This is from about 9:30 this morning. The news said we got 6-9 inches and it's still snowing. It's really pretty. Pretty meaning I don't have to go out in it.

What A Difference A Week Makes

Last Friday we were playing in the back yard. Still no blizzard yet. Just rain and ice. I'm going to slide home at 5:00.

Ice, Ice Baby

Here we are at noon. Rain and sleet started falling an hour ago. I'm not looking forward to the drive home.

Blizzard Watch 2009

As of 7:00 AM we here in Kansas are under a BLIZZARD WARNING!!! Here we are at 9:00 AM. Look out world! 6-18 inches of snow is coming before 1:00 PM tomorrow. So far, no snow.

All Is Well

I think Jarrett and Jackson are both well now. It has been a long week. This is a picture of Jackson from over the weekend. Matt took his crib down last week so we used the mattress while he was sick. I swear he lost at least 2 pounds. He is much better now.

Stop The World, I Want To Get Off

Saturday morning Jackson started feeling ill and for 3 days has puked up everything we've given him. He is mildly dehydrated but is on his way to feeling better. Today, Jarrett got sick. This is day 4 on the puke train and Matt and I are done. If Jarrett follows the same pattern as Jackson, we have 2 more days. I just pray that it is almost over and that no one else gets sick. Here is a picture from a few weeks ago. I'll post again as soon as they are both well.

A Little Comic Relief

Would you believe me if I said he was jumping? He is trying to jump and for all I know he thinks he is. It sure sounds like he is but only 1 foot gets off the floor. The first time I saw him doing this I wasn't sure what he was doing. Now we just say "Jump Jackson!" and this is what he does . . .

All clear

The doctor just came out and said that there are no blockages. They are putting him on medication and he is supposed to have an echocartiogram every year. He will be going home tonight.

Heart cath

They just took him back for the heart cath. They said it would be about an hour.

Update on heart cath

They haven't started yet. The doctor is running late. I will let you know when they start.

No Blockages In His Neck

They said he passed, whatever that means. The heart cath is scheduled for three thirty.

Background Information

Just a little history. 8-28-99 was the date of his triple bypass. He had a heart attack the day before. He stared feeling ill about a month ago. He went in for a stress test and then was sent to a cardiologist who sent him to the Kansas Heart Hospital.

Doppler

The are doing the doppler now. I will post the results in about half an hour or so.

Dad Doing Paperwork

Dad is doing paperwork. Lisa is here and took Matt and I for a quick tour. I will let you know when they do the doppler.

Update Plan

I plan to update everyone tomorrow through the blog. I may try to do facebook also but it depends. Please keep us in your prayers. Check in is at 11 am. I will post something as soon as I know something.

Take That, Roger!

It took me a while but I beat Roger on the Wii Fit Hula Hoop. I came close several times but I finally did it. He only gets to use the Wii every once in a while but he is pretty good at it. I have to take those small victories as they come.
Just in case you were wondering, I do not plan on posting any videos of me doing this. I'm pretty sure I look goofy while doing it.

Final Bedroom Pictures

Here is the finished product. What do you think?The stairs have drawers in them. I put Jarrett's clothes in them and left Jackson's in the big dresser.The boys really like to top bunk. Jackson doesn't get up there much. He would live there if we'd let him. We put a board down so no more quick escapes. It works well with the tent that is on the bed.

Here is a picture of the board. It makes a good track too. Jarrett and I were racing cars on it.

Jackson really likes the stairs. He gets REALLY mad when he can't get on them or when we take him off. He has no fear and is quite the climber.

Matt put a door on the stairs and that made Jackson REALLY REALLY mad.

Jarrett has been really excited about his new bed, not that he has slept in it or anything.

We will have to take baby steps. We'll try sleeping on the bottom bunk first. For now Jackson is still in the crib. I'm not ready for him to roam the house at night . . .

What's That About?

Here we are on day 2 of the bunk beds. I think the boys enjoyed this day because they had a way to get from the top bunk to the bottom REALLY fast. Too fast for Mommy to handle. We didn't buy mattresses for the beds we are just using what we have. The bunk beds are full over full. Our mattresses are twin over full. Jarrett liked to stand in the hole but Jackson just liked to climb through it. We have a solution and it is in place so don't worry.

I had to get this on video. We didn't think Chris would fit but he did. I will post the complete set up tomorrow. Sorry this video is sideways. I don't know how to fix it.

New Beds

Hi, this is Jackson. Just a little update to say that my Mom and Dad bought us new beds. They needed my help putting them up though. This is me testing the board strength.

I had to make sure everything was up to my standards.

I let Dad paint the wall and put up border without me. He did have to consult with Grandma on the border a little. Don't you think it is a nice color?

They call me Jack the builder.

Could you lift the board a little please? Wait . . . I don't think this goes here.

Alright Daddy, you can help but could you do something about the paparazzi?

I think it's too close to the wall. How am I going to climb up to the top?Oh yea, Jarrett didn't help. He just raced cars.

Playing At The Park

We have had some nice weather over the last week so one evening we went to the park. Jarrett and Jackson had a blast. Chris declined to join us. At first we helped Jackson up and caught him on the way down but he could do it all himself. I think we were just slowing him down.

The more he slid the more static he had in his hair.

I know there are a lot of pictures but I took about 10 more than I am posting. Be glad I set a limit for myself.

Happy Birthday Mom

Yesterday was my Mom's birthday. To celebrate she made dinner for 11 of us followed by chocolate cake.
She didn't want to claim the birthday so I told her that I wouldn't claim mine either but she wouldn't go for that.
