Please Ignore the 24

We were in Wal Mart last week, shocking I know, and Jarrett found a tent. He fell in love instantly. Daddy did not. We searched and searched for a different one but could not find one. Even though Daddy didn't like it we bought it anyway.
It is a bed tent. We'll just pretend it is a Dale Jarrett tent. Jarrett and Jackson don't care. They just want to play in it.

Have You Seen Jackson?

Where is Jackson? . . . Where is my baby? . . . Pumpkin Baby, where are you? There you are!
Wait! He's gone again. Jackson, where are you?
There he is! So cute!

Tuesday Night Haircuts

It's that time again. Jarrett went first. Rachel did a good job keeping him in the chair.
Jackson REALLY needed a hair cut. This is only his second. I didn't want to cut his sweet curls off but we did.
He was a bit squirmy but we got through it.
He doesn't look like a baby any more. Who do you think he looks like?

Happy Birthday Rodney

Rodney is officially a teenager. Monday he turned 13. Lets all welcome Roger and Krista to the land of parents with teenagers. Good luck to them. As you can see Skyler is doing well. He is always ready for a picture.
We celebrated by having pizza, except for Jarrett. He celebrated with macaroni and cheese. Here is Matt, Jackson and Jarrett.
Grandpa is usually ready for a picture too.
Grandma tells a story to Krista and Roger. Chris was there also but I didn't post his picture because all you would see is hair. Just kidding. I'll post pictures of him next.

What's Cooking Pumpkin Baby?

Jackson has laid claim to the oven mitts. I don't know what possessed him to put them on but he did and here he is. Somehow he lost his pants but by gosh he is ready to cook!

The Wheels On The Bus . . .

. . . go round and round. This week Jarrett started riding the bus to school. Here we are Monday morning looking for the bus. He was excited to ride it and had no problems all week. He is the first one to be picked up. I buckle him in and he tells me, "Bye Mom."
He had a good week at school and at daycare.

Julie and Jackson

Zachary put his Steelers hat on Jackson and he immediately took it off so Kevin held the hat on while I took a picture of him and Julie. He threw it off because he doesn't like the Steelers. Good boy! Bring on the Oakland Raiders hat!

A Little Help From My Brother

Jarrett wanted to push Jackson in the swing while they were playing in the back yard so I took a few pictures.

Playing In The Backyard

On Jarrett's birthday we played in the backyard.
Last year Matt built a "park" (according to Jarrett) and the boys really enjoy it. Jarrett really likes the slide.
Jackson and Jarrett also like to swing. Jackson kicks and smiles when I push him.

60 degrees in February

Yesterday when I picked up the boys from daycare it was in the 60's and they were playing outside. When Jackson saw me he ran to me as fast as he could. He was wearing a heavy coat because he didn't have any light jackets at the preschool. I didn't realize it was going to be so nice that day.
Jarrett was excited to see me too. When I got there he was running around the playground with his friends. They wanted me to take their picture and then wanted to see the picture afterward. It's a good thing I have a digital camera.

Jarrett's Birthday Part 2

Here is Jarrett and Matt freeing Leo from his box. He also got a Leapster, some games and cash. Chris (behind the piano), Zachary, Hannah, Kevin and Julie helped Jarrett celebrate his birthday.
Kayla, Dakota and Jacob were also there. Jarrett was very excited to see everyone.
Grandma and Grandpa visited also. We had cake and ice cream and watched PBS Sprout.

Jarrett's Birthday Part 1

This week we are celebrating Jarrett's 4th birthday. Here is his cake, Thomas of course. However,he didn't like our singing. We got the first 2 words out and he said stop and held his hands over his ears. Everyone's a critic.
More later.

Relaxing with Dad

Jackson brought out the rocking chair from his bedroom and sat by Matt so I had to take their picture. Like father like son. Aren't they cute?

What's my name again?

The top 10 names I use for Jackson instead of his name:

10. Roger
9. Chris
8. Jarrett Kyle
7. Little Mary Sunshine
6. Honey Bunches Of Oats
5. Little Fart
4. Little Bugger
3. Pumpkin Baby
2. Sweet Baby
1. Baby

Then again I find myself saying Jackson Matthew a lot so who knows. I showed this to Chris and he would add Chunky Baby to the list. He asked me why I would call Jackson Roger and I told him I don't remember calling Jackson Roger (I was running out of nicknames) but I know I've called Chris Roger before. You know when you're not really paying attention to someone and they are just bothering you? I guess I reverted back to my youth when I told him to stop it and who use to bother me? Roger.
