The Keeper of the Plains is a 44 foot steel sculpture that stands at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers.

Surrounding the base of the statue are multiple displays which describe the local tribes that used to inhabit the area as well as fire pits which sometimes light up to illuminate the statue at night.

Several years ago the area was
remodeled and bridges were added.

This is a picture from the bridge looking up.

It was very pretty. The rivers are high due to all the rain we have received recently.

It is near the Mid-America All-Indian Center and Exploration Place.

This is a picture of Exploration Place.

It was built in 1974 to mark the United States bicentennial.

This is where the rivers meet.
